I'm about an hour north of Houston, and not sure if I'm zone 8 or 9. Anybody else nearby have ideas?? Thanks.

I've been having a difficult time with tomatoes the last couple of years. The round wire tomato cages are not working for me - they topple over when the plants get taller.

Terry Stanley you may be looking at Sunset Zones. Maybe in Sunset zones you are a zone 9 and in the USDA ZONES you are 7b. I am in the high desert and I would think Kingman is zone 8b or 9a, like me, if it is not I am surprised. We do get little water and you guys get the Monsoon so maybe that changes it.

I've planed my first vegetable garden here in zone 9 Fl. Whew, the work to get the plot ready. I've planted onions, broccoli, lettuce, watermelon, cucumbers from seed and most seem to be doing well. My question now is, how long into the winter can I keep reseeding. I've heard until March? Do I add new seeds to the garden up to and in March or they stop producing well after march?
Thank in advance for your help :)
