I think we went on line, about $12-15 per episode, if I remember.

No, I have not had the pleasure of viewing the videos. How do you order them?

Has anyone seen any episodes of "The Desert Speaks"? It's a series produced by a local Phoenix tv station. They are great 1/2 hour episodes; our club has purchased a dozen or so for spur-of-the-minute programs. Excellent viewing.

Robert, thank you so much for your comment, as I am trying to learn how to make videos that are interesting to the viewer. Your comment below is exactly what I need to improve my delivery. One of my concerns is not to make the video too long, as people get bored, and it takes longer to download. Therefore, I intentionally did not mention the green and yellow striped agaves as I was saving them for another video, however, it would have added additional interest and little more in-depth information about the subject matter can be included. Robert, thanks again, for your comment.

I have viewed your video on agavacea. I thought your presentation was good. You spoke in simple language so that the common home owner could understand. And yet it was informative concerning one of the uses of making 'Tequilla' . What you could have added was this........There are many different "types"and colors of agaves. Several different ones are blue, similar to yours. Others are variegated with green and white stripes. The plant, when putting up a 'blooming stalk', can be cut off *before emerging more than 2-4 feet high. After a day or so, the severed stalk will form a reservoir and start exuding a nector that continues daily for weeks. They say you can expect one large agave to yield up to one and a half quarts of agave nector every two days. Now you can purchase 'agave nector' in health food stores. I use it to sweeten my coffee. It is wonderful for diabetes patients as a sugar substitute. One other use in Mexico is making ' rope.' Agaves are beautiful. I have many rare specimens.

I will do my best to post the video tonight. To find it, go to the Main Page, click on videos, and once it is approved it will be there - think I will title it American Agave - I have three others - Boston Fern, Dieffenbachia, Swedish Ivy. It probably will not be approved until Friday.

Terri, looking for your new video, where do I go?
Dawn Taillon Comment by Dawn Taillon on December 10, 2009 at 6:02pm
Wow Terri that is stupendous and I have only in the last few years become a fan of cactus and succs, but it gets way to cold to grow most of them here, without turning to mush, as I found the hard way, so I am trying to ammend my soil with more sand in spots where I put the cold tolerant ones in ground, but need to start getting containers for the ones that are more tender so I can bring them in before frosty nights hit.

I too am jealous of the yard. ho hum.
